Clean water and proper sanitation are not luxuries; they are fundamental human rights. Across India, millions of families continue to struggle without access to safe drinking water, hygienic sanitation facilities, and sustainable environmental resources. The lack of clean water causes disease, poverty, and suffering among vulnerable communities, especially children, women, tribal villages, and poor families.
The Safe India Missionary Diocese is committed to transforming lives through clean water projects, sanitation awareness, and sustainable resource management programs. Under the leadership of The Most Rev. Dr. Devadoss Pathra, Presiding Bishop, our mission combines Christian compassion, social responsibility, and community development to build healthier and safer communities.
Our initiatives include:
Providing safe drinking water facilities in rural and tribal villages
Supporting sanitation and hygiene awareness programs
Promoting sustainable water conservation and environmental protection
Encouraging community health and cleanliness campaigns
Empowering women and children through health education
Supporting eco-friendly development for future generations
We believe that access to clean water saves lives, improves education, protects health, and restores human dignity. Through partnerships, volunteers, churches, and social welfare programs, we aim to create lasting change in underserved communities across India.
The Safe India Missionary Diocese invites donors, churches, social organizations, and compassionate individuals to join us in building a cleaner, healthier, and sustainable India for all.

Sanitation and plantation are two powerful pillars that support a healthy, dignified, and sustainable life, especially in rural and underprivileged communities. Clean surroundings protect people from disease, while green environments provide fresh air, shade, water conservation, and hope for future generations. Together, sanitation and plantation create a strong foundation for community development, environmental protection, and human well-being.
At the heart of this mission is the belief that every person deserves to live in a clean environment with access to proper sanitation facilities and a healthy natural ecosystem. Many villages and poor communities continue to suffer from inadequate sanitation, polluted surroundings, lack of clean water, and deforestation. These problems affect children, women, the elderly, and the entire society. Therefore, sanitation and plantation are not only environmental responsibilities but also humanitarian and spiritual missions.
The Importance of Sanitation
Proper sanitation helps prevent diseases such as cholera, typhoid, dengue, malaria, and other infections caused by dirty surroundings and contaminated water. Clean toilets, waste management, drainage systems, and hygiene awareness programs improve public health and restore human dignity. Children can grow healthier, women can live safely, and communities can flourish in a cleaner atmosphere. Sanitation also teaches discipline, responsibility, and respect for society. A clean village or city reflects the unity and awareness of its people. Through sanitation drives, awareness campaigns, cleaning programs, and hygiene education, communities can become stronger and healthier.
The Importance of Plantation
Plantation is a gift to humanity and nature. Trees provide oxygen, reduce pollution, protect the soil, conserve water, and support biodiversity. In today’s world of climate change and environmental destruction, planting trees has become a sacred responsibility. Every tree planted today becomes a blessing for tomorrow. Plantation programs in schools, villages, churches, roadsides, and public spaces help create greene communities and inspire environmental responsibility among young people. Trees also provide fruits, medicine, shade, and livelihood opportunities fo poor families.
Our Mission and Commitment
We are committed to promoting sanitation and plantation as part of a sustainable mission for life. Through community participation, environmental education, tree-planting campaigns, and cleanliness initiatives, we seek to build healthier and greener communities across India.
Our mission includes:
Promoting cleanliness and hygiene awareness
Supporting safe sanitation facilities
Organizing village and community cleaning drives
Encouraging tree plantation programs
Protecting water resources and the environment
Educating children and youth about sustainable living
Inspiring communities to care for God’s creation
A Call for Collective Action
A clean and green environment is everyone’s responsibility. Governments, organizations, faith communities, schools, volunteers, and citizens must work together to protect the earth and improve public health. Small actions such as planting a tree, avoiding plastic waste, keeping streets clean, and teaching hygiene can create a lasting impact. Let us join hands to build a future filled with cleanliness, greenery, health, dignity, and hope. Together, we can transform communities and create a sustainable mission for life.

Vision
Our vision is to build a compassionate and just society where every child is free from child labour, poverty, exploitation, and suffering. We dream of an India where children can enjoy their childhood with dignity, education, safety, nutrition, and love. Through faith, service, and social action, we seek to restore hope and opportunity for vulnerable children and help them become responsible and empowered citizens of the nation.
Burden
Millions of children in India are forced into hard labour because of poverty, hunger, illiteracy, family crisis, and social injustice. Many children work in dangerous environments instead of attending school. They suffer from malnutrition, emotional pain, lack of protection, and loss of their future dreams. Our hearts are burdened to rescue, protect, educate, and uplift these precious children. Every child deserves food, education, care, and the opportunity to live with dignity and purpose.
Mission
The Child Labour Eradication Project of Safe India Missionary Diocese is committed to transforming the lives of poor and vulnerable children through:
Providing free education and school support
Supplying nutritious food and clean drinking water
Offering counselling, spiritual care, and moral guidance
Rescuing children from labour exploitation and abuse
Supporting poor families with livelihood awareness
Creating child protection and awareness programs
Encouraging community participation for child welfare
Promoting human dignity, justice, and equal opportunities
We believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty and child labour. Through united efforts, prayer, compassion, and social responsibility, we can create a brighter future for every child
Our Commitment
Every child is a gift from God and deserves love, learning, protection, and hope.”
Safe India Missionary Diocese stands committed to protecting children and building a future filled with peace, opportunity, and human dignity.
